Streaks & Pace
What a streak is
A streak is a count of the consecutive days you have read at least one page. Streaks are not surfaced anywhere except inside R2E itself, and they are not a competition. Some people care about them deeply; some never look. Both responses are right.
A streak resets when you re-select a book — by design. A new beginning deserves a new count.
The pace
R2E takes roughly two minutes a day — sometimes less. The timer is set by the page itself, not by a quota. A short page asks for a shorter sit; a longer line asks for longer.
The point is presence, not speed.
