Sacred & Knowledge Books

Inside R2E you read two kinds of books:

• A sacred book — usually one you already love, returning to a small stretch of it each day. A pearl kept from a sacred page carries more weight: ten DNA.M. Sacred pearls are kept, not given.
• A knowledge book — something you are learning, a chapter at a time. A pearl kept from a knowledge page carries five DNA.M, and is designed to be given to someone else after its quiet pause.

You choose both at the start.

Switching books

You can change either book — but with a 24-hour pause between switches. Small enough to not feel punitive, long enough to make sure you are choosing rather than browsing.

Your pages already read remain yours, in the original book. Your streak resets when you re-select a book — by design. A new beginning deserves a new count.
